Narrow Gait Farm

RABIES This is a 5 year old Standardbred gelding in Virginia. The veterinarian was called when the horse was acting unusual and calling out every 30 seconds.... The only assessment that could be done was a visual exam and a temperature check which showed a fever of 103.4 F. The horse quickly deteriorated into self mutilation as shown in the videos (more in comments). The horse was unvaccinated. Because of this and the signs shown, he was euthanized and tested for rabies which was positive. The owners are undergoing post-exposure prophylaxis under guidance of the health department. The rabies vaccine is VERY effective. Please talk to your vet about vaccinating your horse. Thank you to Southside Equine Services for the videos.

It is always peaceful going to the farrier.

I need someone who knows how to clean horse stalls correctly, drive a four wheeler, and dump manure in the manure pile. It can be up to 8 stalls at times.

This morning we have some sad news from Linda Parelli. Remmer was an icon in the Parelli community for many years. He taught the world what was possible by show...casing the limitless potential that can be cultivated by using horse psychology and creating a relationship based on the principles of love, language, and leadership. But Rem, coming back from a career-ending injury, for the last one-time show before his loving fans, turned it on! Remmer traveled all over the USA, Canada and even went to the UK with me. He was my inspiration for Horsenality. We shared a connection that was beyond anything I have ever experienced. Goodbye, my dear friend and true partner.
