They're in the basement because it's just #toocoldoutside and she's just #tootiny, but #shesalive and with her momma. Moppet is one of the 4 #babygoats born in the #bittercold on Friday. Welcome sweetie! They were all single births born to separate mommas. The other 3 were bigger and stronger and are thriving well with their mommas out in the barn in lambing jugs to help them stay warm. Moppet was still failing and we almost lost her, so we brought her and her momma inside to the basement. She's getting closer, but not quite ready! This is Kiki! Isn't she adorable! She's expecting #babygoats in about a week or so. Last week, she was super wide, but now the #babies have settled low. When she lays down, she still looks super wide, but when she stands up,she looks more slender because the babies settle low into her tummy. As you can see,her tummy almost scrapes the ground now, the babies have settled so low! This is an indication that the wee ones should be here sooner rather than later.
