Yep, you read that right. Sunscreen is NOT waterproof! It is water resistant but not waterproof. Every bottle of sunscreen will say on the front how long it will last in water, some might say 40 minutes, some might say 80 minutes. Keep in mind that if sunscreen isn’t waterproof it isn’t sweat proof either. #SkinCancerAwareness #SunSafe #Sunscreen #ProtectYourself #WaterResistant #Dermatology

Have a fantastic weekend! Take time to relax and recharge.
Think of how much sun exposure your lips get. No one wants to put sunscreen on their lips though, that would be so gross! But you can make sure that your chapstick has some sun protection. Read the label and grab one that has SPF. #SkinCancerAwareness #Chapstick #SPF #ProtectYourself #SkinCancer

Patients feel most supported when they know that their doctor is an advocate for their needs, takes their concerns seriously, and informs them of a variety of treatment options and works with them to choose the right one. As a Dermatologist, your medical knowledge is vital. However, providing genuine care and concern for your patients alongside that knowledge makes your work meaningful. #Dermatology #Dermatologist #PatientValue #DedicatedToDermatology

Sunscreen isn’t just for sunny days. You should be wearing sunscreen every day. People often tie sunscreen to summer but the UV rays are dangerous at all times of the year. Get in the routine of applying sunscreen daily, this also benefits you because you can get familiar with your skin and you will be able to notice if you develop any new spots or if you have some spots that look different. #SkinCancerAwareness #Sunscreen #SelfCare #SkinCheck #LearnYourSkin
