Hear Ye! Hear Ye! This is short notice, but the weather looks good. Laws Observatory will reopen to the public this Wednesday night the 16th from 8-10pm. Masks ...are optional. We have no planets to look at....well we do, but they are in Stankowski Field lights, but we have the MOON! So come on up for lunar viewing! See more
It was announced on Wednesday that Prof. Silvia Bompadre has received the 2021 MU Outstanding Advising Award. This award comes on the heals of her receipt of the 2021 Blue Chalk Advising (student-nominated) Award from the A&S College. Her hard work and success in advising our Physics and Astronomy undergraduate majors is appreciated by all of us. Thank you & Congratulations!

We finally have clear skies tonight! Come observe the night sky with us at Laws Observatory! Every Wednesday night at 8pm, Laws Observatory is open to the public, weather permitting. It's located on the 5th floor of the Physics Building. Ride up the elevator located on the south side of the building.
