This week the #MSSU Kinesiology Department hosted their 25th Lifetime Sports Academy event. The event teaches skills and promotes the appreciation of activities that can be played for fun, health, and fitness throughout life. Activities include golf, bowling, frisbee, racquet sports, martial arts, archery, canoeing, and more.
Congratulations to our graduates! We are happy to have been a part of shaping your future and we wish you luck on your future endeavors.
The Golden Lion Awards took place this week on the #MSSU campus. Recipients of these scholarships are high school seniors who have made a positive difference by volunteering in their school, civic organization, church, or community. The scholarship is made possible by the generosity of H.E. Williams, and KSN/KODE (Nexstar Broadcasting). To nominate an incoming high school senior as a Golden Lion visit: https://bit.ly/2O0K5Rc

It just made sense for other people to be able to enjoy them, Michael Mosher said. Dad would appreciate that other people will be able to look at them. A collection of Inuit carvings has been donated to the Missouri Southern State University Art Department by the family of Dr. Mel Mosher, a former MSSU Faculty member. https://bit.ly/35alZw1

First-generation college students will be the focus of a special celebration from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 9, at the Lion’s Den in Billingsly Student Center. Presented by Project Stay, the celebration coincides with the national celebration established in 2017 by the Council for Opportunity in Education and the Center for First-Generation Student Success as a way to honor students who are the first in their family to attend college. We’re here to support those who are ...first-generation students who may not understand the cultural changes that college can bring, and to help those students navigate them, says Dr. Debbie Fort, director of Missouri Southern’s Project Stay program.
