Mrs. Gayla’s Piano Studio

I love teaching younger students! Claire and I went on a walk to find nature things that start with all the letters of the musical alphabet! Then she drew pictures of each thing we found. She’s learning to find the notes on the piano and this little exercise will hopefully reinforce ABCDEFG.

I love it when piano lessons are a family project! Every week parents and grandparents and sometimes aunts and uncles team up to provide access to lessons! I think I’m so tender to this because we’ve always lived so far from family! Thanks to Bill and Pam Wishon for bringing their grand daughters to piano! And thanks to Bill for some great hot chocolate this week! I am so blessed to have amazing piano families!!!

Just try not to smile during this! Claire is my only preschool student at this time but she is a highlight of my week! This girl is going to be famous!!!

For Wednesday... Good morning piano families! I hope you all are safe and warm! In light of the cold, snow, and rolling blackouts I am making an executive decision to have an old fashioned snow day for piano. Enjoy each other this evening instead of trying to figure out technology or driving. We’ve all done so much virtual learning lately that I want to give you a break! My family is stuck at home today doing ballet and school and work virtually and it’s just a lot...so take ...a break! We will resume lessons next week! Maybe ask your pianist to play their pieces FOR YOU IN PERSON for some fun family time. They could probably use the encouragement and compliments! As always, tuition will roll over to March. Thanks!
