Winter is approaching and it's getting colder outside. It's time to think about heaters. We sell Sun Heat heaters. They are made in the U.S. with a 5 year warranty. These heaters can safely warm up any room for you. Infrared heaters do use less energy than the standard space heaters. Because infrared heaters do not use fossil fuels such as kerosene or propane, these heaters don't emit pollutants such as carbon monoxide, and will not cause fires and explosions due to a flammab...le fuel source. In general, infrared heaters are safe to leave on overnight. They are not temperamental, and any modern heater worth its salt has safety shut-off switches in-case it falls over or gets too hot. That said, you should still be careful if you're leaving one on while you're asleep or out. It's always best to be safe. Mr. C's also repairs Sun Heat heaters when needed. See more

Winter is quickly approaching. Here are some ideas to keep your carpet looking its best: 1. Invest in sturdy mats for each entry way into your home. We know this seems obvious, but you would be surprised by how many houses go without them during the wet months. 2. Remove shoes before walking into your home. A great habit to get into, removing shoes upon entering will greatly reduce the amount of staining and wear that your carpet endures. 3. Care for your outdoors, too! Kee...ping the outside of your home clean tidy is critical to a cleaner inside. Keep the entryways as clean as possible to reduce the amount of dirt coming in. 4. Have your carpets cleaned before fall turns into winter. With less fresh air wafting through your home in the winter, pollutants like dust mites, pet dander and other allergens have the opportunity to settle into carpets. Not good for air quality. 5. Vacuum, vacuum, vacuum. Frequent vacuuming is the best way to keep your carpets clean all year round. Vacuum at least once per week in high traffic areas. Make sure to change the bag or cylinder often as they can cause the vacuum to be less efficient while sending dirty dust particles into the air. Regular vacuuming will most certainly prolong the life of your investment. See more

Some fun facts about vacuum cleaners: * The first iron lung was made in 1927 and consisted of one electric motor and two vacuum cleaners. * Although robotic vacuum cleaners work well and keep house cleaner, they still cannot completely replace cleaning with standard vacuum cleaners.... *John S. Thurman invented the first cleaner powered by a machine. It was so big that it had to be moved on horse-drawn wagon and it didn’t suck the dust but blew it into a receptacle. What a huge difference between the early one and the Riccar SupraLite which weighs in at 8 pounds. * Woman from Kent bought an Electrolux’s vacuum cleaner in 1930’s and used it until 2008 when it blew up in the middle of the work. Electrolux gave her a new model.

Sewing machine production began in the 1850's, with the first sellable machines being those made by Isaac Singer, and they were used commercially. They were first purchased by the general public in the 1860's, often by women, which cut down their sewing time from approximately 14.5 hours by hand, to 1 hour using the machine and by 1863, the Singer Manufacturing Company were selling 20,000 machines a year for home use.
