APPLICATION OF @skinceuticals MICROPEEL PLUS 30 FROM START TO FINISH This is how we achieved the results from my last post! We offer a range of peels, and I’d consider the Micropeel Plus 30 to be one of our medium strength peels. There was definitely some discomfort, but since it only stays on the skin for a maximum of 5 minutes it is definitely bearable. And absolutely worth it for the results! Here’s a little more info on the process:... All peels require a little bit of prep work. First, the skin is cleansed with a simple gel cleanser. Then, the corners of the clients eyes, nose, and mouth are covered with a protective balm to prevent the peel from moving into these sensitive areas. The skin is then wiped down with acetone to sanitize and lower the skin’s pH to increase efficacy. Finally, the eyes are covered with goggles for extra protection. Then it’s time for the peel! This peel was applied with jumbo cotton swabs in circular motions for 3-5 minutes, or until the skin was evenly covered by a layer of white crystallization. It is then neutralized with water! The protocol is slightly different for all peels, but this video provides a great idea of what to expect! And don’t worry, the frosting went away a few minutes after we neutralized the peel! Let me know what questions you have about peels

The beauty of chemical peels! This is one of my client that has been seeing me for awhile, and we’ve been really trying to figure out what works best for her skin. Our main concerns have been acne, redness, and scarring. She follows all of my acne tips at home, she’s trusted me to redesign her skincare routine, and comes in pretty regularly for treatments. And while I feel we’ve seen some improvement, I’ve never felt like we’ve found the right treatment for lasting results. ...Facials and Hydrafacials all have made great improvements, but nothing has really helped keep these issues at bay. Well now we’ve switched to chemical peels and I’m thrilled with the results we’re seeing! She came in a few weeks ago and we did the @skinceuticals Micropeel Plus 30 and it worked wonders! These before and after pictures are about 10 days apart and her breakouts and redness have been greatly reduced. Now our main focus is to start working on her scarring, so we’ll be alternating peels time she comes in. Her next visit will be for a chemical peel to target her scarring, then her next appointment after that we’ll treat her acne again. I am truly so excited and happy that we’re finally seeing the results she deserves! She has been a joy to work with and I’m so grateful to have clients that trust me and have a genuine interest in skin. Comment below any questions about this peel!

Here’s a simple introduction to one of my favorite services- chemical peels! I find that most people have heard of peels but they never really know very much about what they are and what they do. So hopefully this can help educate and explain some of the basics! I’m hoping to focus more on peels in the future so I’m planning on showcasing different types and going more in-depth on how they work. Comment down below anything you still want to know about peels!

Guess what I did yesterday! This is my skin directly after doing the @skinceuticals Advanced Corrective chemical peel! This is one of the strongest peels that we perform @studio_branca . I chose this peel because I have some sun damage and texture that I wanted to clear up. Four layers of the peel were applied until my face was evenly red and mildly swollen. My forehead is a bit less sensitive so it didn’t show as much redness as the rest of my face, but I’m excited to track... my results! Comment below any questions you have about this particular peel, or chemical peels in general!
