Can you believe it is August already? The Garden Party 2020 RAL event sponsored by Seams to be Sew starts in a month. Yikes! I have to get my row done. I've seen a lot of the patterns, and you're going to love them! Free patterns to download every Tuesday and Thursday in September, wrapping up Show & Tell in October. There will be lots of chances to win free gifts including my Patchwork Partner book! I'm donating 3 books (not downloads, but physical books). I will post more details later, but for now here's a little sneak peak of my row.

January is off to a good start! I'm working on several patterns but first I'm working on some quick (but still pretty) quilts. My friend Shirley and I pieced this whole quilt top in a one day. Team quilting is so much fun and goes so much quicker. We set our machines so our 1/4" seams were exact and had no trouble getting it sewn together. This is laptop size, and we have 2 more cut out that are queen size.. I will post another pic when I get this one quilted..

Only a few days left of the 2019 ONCE UPO A STORY blog event. Here's my second pattern of the event. With several different sizes of blocks and rows this year, you're going to need some filler blocks to make a quilt with the cute nursery rhyme and fairy tale blocks. So far all I have done is make plans to make such a quilt. Perhaps over the winter, I can get started. My blocks and rows are paper pieced and Marian Pena also has some ideas for machine embroidery to share. Be sure to visit Seams to be Sew and the other designers for today. Patterns for FILLER BLOCKS and A TISKET, A TASKET are FREE through Oct. 7th. Visit my website to download patterns and enter to win one of three Patchwork Partner books I am giving away. https://www.pg-mmd.com/blog1

WAGON WHEELS TABLE RUNNER Just added this new pattern to my website. This is a really fun table runner to make - paper pieced, of course. I made the one with green borders and Debbie Blaker made the one with red borders. Thanks Debbie for helping me test the pattern! I made mine with Christmas fabrics but any seasonal or theme fabrics would work and make really nice gifts for friends and family. ... Just over 5 hours until the Once Upon a Story blog event starts, and I'm going to try to get two more patterns ready to go live. Wish me luck!

Looking for about 6 or 8 pattern testers! I have some new paper pieced block patterns I would like to have tested before I make them available to sell. You don't have to make a whole quilt, just one block. Here's how it works if you are selected: I email a pdf copy of the pattern to you at no charge. ... You make the block, making notes on the pattern if anything is unclear or if you see a typo or any other mistake You give me your feedback, either by email or a quick phone call If you are interested, send me a note via Messenger mentioning your paper piecing experience. A couple patterns are beginner level and a couple are intermediate. This Double Ohio Star Variation is already available but I have two new stars to be tested.
