We are so inspired by this wonderful video featuring David (OréMoose)!!! He was one of our sponsors for our first-ever Virtual Trivia Night and we are amazed at his constant desire of bringing Catholic art to a place of encountering God, the One who is Love, Truth, Beauty, and Goodness Himself! Go to the website: www.oremoose.com to see more of the many ways David is "clothing the Word." ... Also, this video was made by Pope Culture- they greatly aided us in their advice and prayers for when we started planning our Virtual Trivia Night. Beyond that, through their YouTube channel, podcast, etc., they bring various topics of our modern pop culture into the light of Christianity, especially to our Catholic identity.

The verse for the Gospel acclamation (Alleluia) reminds us to always have our hearts filled with the gratitude of knowing that God is indeed our protector and guide. In all things, He is intending to give Himself to us in some way. Most of the time when we are going through trials, He is asking us to trust Him deeper and to follow Him more closely. There is never a moment in our life where He is far from us.

Today is the feast of Pope Leo the Great. We have been reflecting on the hope that lies in our faith in God. Nothing else can give us a firmer stronghold than the enduring promise of a God who loved His creation/creatures so much to the point of becoming one among us and then dying on the Cross to save us. Our Hope is secure because our Hope is Him!!! Thank you for your prayers, let us continue to lift each other up in our prayers to the Lord!

We also wanted to share this short part of the meditation from the "Magnificat" missal today. "Saint Peter walked on the stormy sea, but when his faith wavered he began to sink; and Christ rebuked him: 'Oh you of little faith, why did you doubt?' What courage it would take to try to walk on the sea, even if we could see the face of Christ; but it takes much more courage to leave our false securities, our leaking botas of materialism, and to walk towards him on the churned-up, angry sea of our civilization. It would be a heroic thing to do even if we could see him, but when the face of Christ is hidden in the darkness of hour heart, then it requires all the heroism of Our Lady's fiat (yes)." -Caryll Houselander May we all ask for the grace of this courage, to always seek Christ who is our refuge and strength now and forever!

On this Sunday, the Gospel reminds us to prepare ourselves for the second coming of Christ and our own personal judgement at the end of our life. The Lord is with us in so many moments of every day and we can often forget to pause and see Him in the beauty of the present moment. The more we are reminded of His presence, the more we will listen and act according to His Will. He has always been with us, He is with us now, and He will always be with us. "Perfect love casts out all fear."
