Merry Christmas! A 12 days of Christmas workout is something many Crossfitters are familiar with, but maybe not a lot of mama athletes. Merry Christmas! I’m taking the next two weeks off to be with my family but didn’t want to leave my clients hanging. Enjoy the workouts I’m sharing with them! Some notes on this workout: Always consult your healthcare provider before trying something new in your pregnancy or postpartum journey! Reach out if you have questions or need help! Toe taps are like a soccer drill, tapping your toes in quick succession to a step or a ball. If these are too bouncy, you expe...rience pain, or leaking you could substitute air squats. Shoulder to overhead could be done with dumbbells, a kettlebell, a barbell or anything you can find at home. A dictionary or gallon of water would do the trick! Keep your ribs stacked over your hips. If lunges hurt your pubic bone, try single leg deadlifts! Imagine squeezing a beach ball between your legs to stabilize. Step ups could be done to a stair or a short stool. Be careful, and don’t slip! If you’re pregnant, please do no slam your body into the ground! Elevate that burpee to a counter top, a chair, a couch. You can set your feet out and back in. Remember to use your exhale on the exertion part of the movements!
