On March 11, 2020, COVID-19 was declared a pandemic. Americans watched the news as terrifying details emerged. The virus slowly crept toward northwest Missouri. In the end, the results were just as devastating. On the Frontlines Mosaic Life Care’s Inside Look at Battling COVID-19, is a 30-minute documentary featuring Mosaic’s frontline caregivers as they transition between feelings of fear and heartbreak to hope and triumph. With the effects of 2020 still being felt around our state and the nation, this Nurses Week seems more needed than ever. On Wednesday, February 3, Pat Howard, RN, and Mosaic physician Louis Jamtgaard, MD, Emergency Department, were presented with one ticket each, courtesy of the National Football League (NFL), to attend Super Bowl LV. They will fly to Tampa, Fla., February 7 on a chartered plane and receive a goodie bag to make the experience complete. We'll be cheering from our homes right along with you! Have fun!

What you need to know for vaccine appointments in St. Joe: At 5 p.m. we will update www.myMLC.com/vaccine with the option of joining the Appointment Request Listdirect scheduling will no longer be an option You will need the following information for the Appointment Request List:... Name Date of Birth Last 4 of SSN Address Phone Email Address This Appointment Request list is only for those who are eligible as determined by the state. Visit www.MoStopsCovid.com to see if you are within the eligible tiers. Once complete, you will be added to the Appointment Request List in the order registrations are received. You will also receive a confirmation email notifying you that you are on the list. When Mosaic has confirmation from the state on how many vaccines we will receive, an email and/or text message will be sent to those on the Appointment Request List. The number of people who will receive notification emails will be the same as the amount of vaccine we will receive and will go in order of when you were added to the list. Individuals receiving the notification email and/or text, will have 24 hours to schedule an appointment. If you don’t register within 24 hours, you will be added back to the list. It is not possible to pre-register multiple people at the same time. Each person needs to be added separately, as notifications are tied to the last four digits of their social security number and birth date. We understand this still requires access to a website and we are working with community partners to offer a phone number option to help those who do not have access to a computer. The City of St. Joseph will be adding computers at City Hall to allow people to come in and get added to the pre-registration list.
