If the trails continue to dry, and we think they will, there is going to be a mountain bike race out at our MoPac SingleTrack this Saturday, June 5 in the morning. Register here: https://www.bikereg.com/bike-centennial-cup

Trails are open and there aren't any ticks or spiders. What more could you want?

We have entered into the time of year where you can only ride when absolutely and completely frozen solid. If the temperature gets above 26 degrees, don't ride. Do not ride wet or soft trails. Be mindful of changing trail conditions as it warms up. Please err on the side of not wrecking the trails. The photo is from last year. Please help us avoid that this year.

In a month, when you are riding across this bridge remember the trail builders who pushed the sections, through the mud, one of them barefoot, so you can whoop with joy as you ride all the way around the lake.

So we are doing a thing!

Our local NICA high school mountain bike race team was out at the trails practicing this evening. Very cool to see those kids out there riding!

Have you gotten out to enjoy the trails during this dry stretch? They are perfect right now!

MoPac SingleTrack 18.10.2020

The trails aren't quite dry enough to open today...maybe tomorrow afternoon. HOWEVER...we've been busy trimming and have the east side trails around 90% trimmed!!

If you've been on the trails recently you know trimming season is rapidly approaching. We are always looking for volunteers to help trim the trails. We'll provide the trimmer, supplies and education. You will need eye protection, gloves, long pants and some time. As little as 3 or 4 hours of your time can be enjoyed by many trail users all season long. You've been looking for a way to give back to the community...this is it. If you are interested PM me on this page!

We had a crew of 8 awesome volunteers working on some recurring wet trouble spots this morning. We created one reroute and built 80-100 feet of elevated trail in another spot. Great job guys!

It was a great few days of riding before the rain moved back in this morning. Was lucky enough to get a sunrise ride in this morning before the rain started. Even saw a beaver swimming across the lake who dove under and whacked his tail on the water as I rode off after taking that last photo.

Trails are great right now...get out and ride them!

Just an update on the trails...like last year, an over abundance of precipitation over the winter and spring has left the water table high at the trails, with some very significant seeps causing problems on many locations along the trails. That is why the trails remain closed. I think it may take a solid green-up with the growing plants really sucking water out of the ground to really help dry things up. So while the trails are closed, hit up other nearby trails when they are... open instead. Jacomo and Landahl are awesome as is Blue River. Each offers something different, and are more challenging than MoPac. We'll be back out there before you know it, but for now let's give the trails a break. Thanks and stay healthy! This is why we close the trails when wet. Please don't ruin the 2000 hours of volunteer labor that has gone into building our trails by using them when wet.

MoPac SingleTrack 04.08.2020

It is still too wet out there on the trails. Like last year a wet winter has taken its toll and will take a while to dry out. Please ride somewhere else and let these trails dry out thoroughly before using them. They will remain closed until that happens.

Trails are still too wet to ride. Please stay off them.
