The National Weather Service is watching a developing storm that is predicted to bring severe weather to a large part of Missouri on Thursday. Conditions are s...etting up to produce damaging winds, large hail, tornados and localized flooding. Currently, it looks like the impact area is from I-70 south to the Missouri border and most likely from Thursday afternoon through late evening. Additional thunderstorms and showers will be possible earlier in the day but that activity looks to be less severe. There is still some uncertainty regarding the exact timing, location and potential impact of these storms. As these storms are predicted to roll through into the overnight please make sure you have a way to be woken up to warnings in your area.

Caregiving can be strenuous, hard work and the need for reliable help in the home right now is on the rise! That's why SeniorAge is expanding their Independent ...Provider List. Interested individuals should be able to assist seniors with heavy housekeeping; help balance clients with a gait belt; move boxes; and assist with bathing, cleaning, cooking, errands/shopping. We are also seeing an increased need for transportation to and from appointments and to accompany clients to outpatient surgery, including overnight help in the home following surgery. If you are interested in being listed on our "Independent Provider List," give us a call at 417-862-0762. We will send you a Service Provider Profile packet. Passing a background check through the Family Care Safety Registry is required. Seniors need our help. You can be there for them.
