There are too many risks that we face as firefighters. Some can be easily managed, and some cannot. Clean your gear = Control what you can control. FirefighterFunctionalFitness.com #CleanYourGear #FirefighterCancerAwareness #FirefighterCancerPrevention https://www.instagram.com/p/CJtOzdWjqSk/

**This post is outdated** Significant additional ice accumulations are expected Friday, including some localized sleet and snow accumulations. The most signific...ant remaining ice accumulations are expected to occur along a corridor stretching from central MO into west central IL. Temperatures will gradually warm from southeast to northwest through the day and precipitation will eventually transition back to rain, but this will be a slow process. While all rain is expected in the St. Louis metro area by mid-morning, frozen precipitation may linger across northeast and central through this afternoon and evening. #MOwx #ILwx #STLwx See more

Last night Monarch Firefighters responded to an accident with a person trapped in a car that was fully engulfed in flames. The images of the wreckage are too sensitive to post respectfully for the family of the departed. We are asking all of our residents and their families to hug one another and to make good decisions on what is historically a busy night for accidents. Have a fun, but safe, New Year’s Eve from your Monarch Firefighters.

Wintry precipitation will move into the region from the south tonight, bringing accumulating ice and snow to the region. Wintry precipitation will end tomorrow ...morning in most areas, but will linger into Friday afternoon in NE MO and west-central IL. If you're planning on traveling late tonight, consider doing so earlier in the evening or tomorrow. See more
