Proud to make the Missouri Art Council Awards this year

It's time to submit work for the greatest glass show in the midwest. Heartland 4!!

We've got an installation coming up where we'll be making around 450 very intricately designed rondels for an architectural glass curtain that is sure to change the face of Kansas City's Hospital Hill area. It's going to take some time and effort, but it's sure to be worth it! If you stop by Monarch Glass Studio this winter during the production hours, you're likely to catch us in the act of making these components. We love making them, so you'll likely catch us with all smiles too!

We fall weather!

Our first class of the fall is underway. Instructor, Alison Siegel is blowing glass and minds in the weekend intro workshop. All the fall classes are filled, but Winter and Spring classes have just been uploaded onto the website for those interested in learning how to blow glass. www.monarchglassstudio.com

Not exactly the most exciting picture, but what this picture means is that we're ramping the furnace back up after taking the summer off to do maintenance work to the equipment, take vacations, and add crew members to the team. We're excited to start blowing glass again and have had a lot of orders come in during the down months, so we'll have our hands full. Come and visit us if you're in town as our hours are back to normal (Except the weekend of September 6th through 8th, where we'll be at the Westport Art Fair). We've been making some blown glass drops as installation components in the studio this summer. They look big, but our sweat drops feel even bigger! Can you picture these hanging in an open stairwell or lobby? We can too!

We are so excited to see this custom lighting pendant chandelier come together and get installed in a new home in Parkville, Missouri. Interested in getting unique and custom blown glass lighting in your home or commercial space, let us know. We absolutely love making work like this!

This week we'll be making the glass shades for a 22 foot long pendant chandelier that will run through the center of a newly constructed private residence in Parkville. We're really excited to see this one after we install it later this month!
