Have we ever had a proper Social Media Introduction? I don’t think we have! I am Marie B. Smith, Interior Designer and Gallerist at MLB Designs. And this is my dog, Jasmine. We live and work in the glorious Kansas City Crossroads Arts District in Kansas City Missouri. I love doing Interior Design and improving my clients’ lives by helping them to create beautiful and well-planned spaces! We do everything at MLB Designs from interiors for new homes, to renovations, to furnishi...ngs, to those little details that refresh, revive and make your space just perfect. MLB Designs and Boutique is excited to announce that Suzanne Loechl will be our featured artist for May and June of 2020! We hope to have her show, "Leisure, Landscapes, and Memories of Delight," in The Galleries at MLB as planned but will be keeping an eye on the developing COVID-19 situation. Read more about Suzanne Loechl below and keep an eye on this space to see more of her stunning work in the coming months!... Suzanne Keith Loechl was born in England and moved to the United States as a young child. Growing up she had the opportunity to experience many places including the English countryside, New York, Washington DC, London, and Central Illinois. This unique multicultural upbringing is a source of inspiration for Suzanne. She is particularly drawn to cultural patterns and human behavior in a variety of settings. She explores the natural and human-made landscape, at times depicting it laced with organic and spiritual patterning. In the pursuit of helping create a more peaceful world of coexistence, Suzanne was recently ordained as an interfaith minister through a seminary in NYC. Her studies of Eastern and Western religions and indigenous faiths are infusing her work. Suzanne holds an undergraduate (with a minor in art) and a master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from the Virginia Tech and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign respectively. She lives in Champaign, Illinois with her husband and two college-age kids.
