APTA-Missouri Outstanding Student Award goes to Jeff Adams. Quotes from one of the nomination letters: I consider this student a rare find, one that embodies key qualities for successa keen intellect, an inquisitive nature, an exceptional work ethic, and the capacity to engage effortlessly with those around him. He has worked with children experiencing limb loss... and other disabilities, developed exercise programs for older adults at local aging-in-place facilities, assisted local food banks and Meals on Wheels programs to feed those in need, volunteered for the Special Olympics, and mentored children in our Adapted Gymnastics program. I believe Jeff Adams is one of our department and university’s great assets. He is not only an outstanding scholar and physical therapist, but most importantly, an exceptional person.
