SERVICE SPOTLIGHT One of our six purposes is community service, and that was certainly exemplified at Chi Omega’s Mizzou Alternative Breaks Weekend! This semester, six members participated in packing donation bags at the food bank, setting up garden beds at the Columbia Center for Urban Agriculture, and helping clean a house through Services for Independent living. You all rock! Gigi Haman (PC ‘18), co-site leader: What better way to carry out Chi Omega’s six purposes than to volunteer with friends in our own community?! This March weekend of service unofficially began in January when these women learned about active citizenship, inclusive language, accessibility, and so much more. Thanks for sticking with Maddie and I through cringey Zoom icebreakers and truly being gumby the whole time! Get out, give back, give love.

Come bid sweet adieu, Chi O ever after, we’ll remember you. To our cherished seniors, thank you for the memories, bonds, and lasting impact you have had on our chapter which will be felt long after you graduate. Congratulations on stepping into the next chapter of your journey, wherever it may lead. Hats off to our role models we love you endlessly. Whether it was restorative yoga on Stankowski field, painting flower pots, snacking on empowering fortune cookies, or playing with puppies from @hsmopets we had a blast this past Wellness Week expressing the self-love languages with our sisters by our side. Let this be a reminder to set aside time for yourself during finals You got this! Thank you @mizchiowellness and @gisellegalang for allowing us to center ourselves and have a blast while doing it
