Merry Christmas from the Missouri Wolverines ... Wishing you a safe and happy holiday season

Last Saturday the Missouri Wolverines Youth Football Club celebrated a successful 2020 season which saw 150 kids between the ages 5 thru 14 and grades Kindergarten thru 8th have the opportunity to play 78 games this year between all levels as an organization, an amazing accomplishment in a year filled with so many obstacles. We had the opportunity this year to play teams from: St. Louis Missouri Springfield Missouri... Omaha Nebraska Wichita Kansas and several teams throughout the KC Metro on both the Kansas and Missouri side. Aside from the enormous amount of success on the scoreboard we also got to see a huge first... we had two girls play football in our club this year. We also saw the return of the Missouri Wolverines Cheerleaders. And most importantly we had the opportunity to send off twelve outstanding 8th Graders to high school football next year. One of our most successful years to date and a huge thank to our amazing parents and all of our hardworking athletes and finally a heartfelt thank you to all of our volunteer coaches who make it all happen each and every day of the season. thank you for an amazing year and we look forward to 2021

On Saturday, the Missouri Wolverines celebrated the end of the 2020 Football Season with our year end Awards Ceremony. This year we celebrated another Loyalty Award Winner. Congratulations to 7 year Missouri Wolverine Jeremiah Jones who was given his jersey framed and a commemorative photo by the organization to honor his legacy with our organization.... Thank you Jeremiah for 7 great years.

Wolverines Alumni The Missouri Wolverines had 2 former players starting as Varsity Quarterbacks this year, one on the Kansas side and one on the Missouri side both on the Big Class level playing some of the best competition in the metro. Senior Anthony Hall has been a starter for the Park Hill Trojans since his Sophomore Year when he took over from another former Missouri Wolverine Billy Maples who is now a QB for the University of Kansas. ... Anthony was a 6 year Missouri Wolverine and started at QB every year for us. Team Captain and Leader on and off the field. Anthony Hall - 6'5 190lbs 2020 Stats - 2652yds, 27TDs with 59% completion rate 21 starts at QB on Big Class level

Alumni Update: The Missouri Wolverines were blessed to have 2 former players in 2020 be starting Varsity Quarterbacks for two of the top 6A and 5A programs in Missouri and Kansas. We will be posting more about our alumni as post season honors our announced... however here is a piece about Sophomore gunslinger Maxxwell Ford who is the starting QB at St. Thomas Aquinas.... Maxx had to overcome a torn ACL and missed his entire freshman year however is a perfect example of how hardwork and a dedication to live out his dream continues to drive him to be the best. Great work here by Children's Mercy to get him back healthy to compete. Maxx was a three starter for the Missouri Wolverines and played 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade football for us. https://youtu.be/xnjMTFdcj7M

7th/8th Grade win vs KC Bears 33-00 The 7th8th Grade Missouri Wolverines came up big in a rematch vs the KC Bears this week... 2 weeks ago these two teams squared off seeing the KC Bears winning 12-07. This Saturday the Wolverines.. now down 2 starters who have left the team due to winter sports came together as a team and played one of their best games to date... great individual efforts produced a team victory and another example of the Wolverines continuing to improve each week.

6th Grade 2nd Game of the day Win vs the KC Giants 45 -12 The 6th Grade Missouri Wolverines played a double header on Halloween which finished under the lights...... Another huge win in which the Wolverines racked up 45 points for the 2nd time on the day and were able to keep the Giants in check after two early touchdowns... several players were able to get involved and help the Wolverines to their 2nd win of the day. 6th Grade finished their regular season 7-0 in September and October. Special shoutout to all the parents for making Halloween Bags and in between games food for the boys.

6th Grade Win 41 -20 over KC Dynasty Improvement... talked about within the Missouri Wolverines family throughout the year.. on Saturday the 6th Grade had the opportunity to play Dynasty in a rematch from our very first game of the season back on August 15th which Dynasty won 19-6... the boys came to play today showing how much better we have improved this year from August and pulled out an impressive 41 - 20 win avenging an early preseason loss... great effort by the players and coaches and huge support from our fans

So proud of these kids and coaches as they improved the entire year... huge win today to close out the season as the 3rd Grade Missouri Wolverines beat GT Elite 6 to 0 today.

6th Grade Missouri Wolverines improve to 5-0 in September and October with an impressive 54-06 win over the KC Ducks

4th Grade Missouri Wolverines played the KC Ducks winning 41-0 ... great job players and coaches...

The 3rd Grade Missouri Wolverines played the Della Lamb Predators for the 2nd time this year ... on September 12th and the game ended tied 6-6 Today the 3rd grade was down 0-6 at half but made some outstanding adjustments at half and some huge plays in the 2nd half to pull off the 14-6 win. Great to see the boys excited.... Huge thank you to the Della Lamb Predators for playing us again and another great game

Missouri Wolverines 7th & 8th Grade improved again this week with the opportunity to play Christ Prep Middle School Patriots... solid effort on both sides of the football resulted in a 38-12 win for the Wolverines... #buildingleaders

4th Grade Missouri Wolverines traveled to Blue Springs to play the first place Blue Springs Chiefs ... the boys represented against a well coached Chiefs team... keep grinding... we continue to improve and appreciate the BSAA giving us the opportunity to play this week.

Missouri Wolverines vs Dark Knights 3rd Grade Division Annual Showdown between the two organizations... The only loss for the Missouri Wolverines on the day as they take 4 out of 5 Head to Head match ups earlier in the day but on the last game of the day the Dark Knights were able to win by a single point. Hats off to the 3rd Grade teams on a great game.... Have to give a huge shout out to the 3rd Grade coaches and players... back on September 12 these two teams played and the Dark Knights blew out the Wolverines 26-00... fast forward to October 03... the Wolverines have improved greatly.
