Looks like things are getting back to normal we’re actually gonna have a Department Convention this year (barring some unforeseen disaster). With that we ARE going to have a History Book Contest. Please make sure to check the schedule to find out when the contest will be conducted so you can get your book in on time. Right now it is scheduled for Friday at 9 AM. Keep a lookout for the schedule for the Convention to know where to bring your book. Your book should cover the... 2020 2021 Program Year ONLY. If you have any questions please contact me. As a reminder, I have posted photos from events at the Department’s Facebook page, please feel free to use any of them you want to for your own book, but make sure you note you got it from the Missouri Department Historian’s Office. The next 8th District meeting is Sunday Jun 6 2021 at Post 624, Sunrise Beach. Short memorial service at 11:00 a.m. immediately followed by lunch and District meeting will start as soon as lunch concludes.

We will be holding a Department History Book Contest for books covering the 2019 2020 year. Any Post wishing to submit a book for either the Yearbook Contest or the Narrative History Contest must submit their book to Department Headquarters no later than March 1, 2021.
