Handmade aviation will never be the same! Today we remember Chris Heintz, an aviation icon who helped propel the work of Zenith Aircraft to the forefront of personal flying. Missouri played a critical role in the production and support of these flying machines.

A fellow MOAHS member sent us this great book recommendation recently! 'THE HISTORY OF ALASKA AIRLINES: The first eleven years 1932-1943' tells the dark and mysterious story behind the airline's first decade of operations. The events that took place during these years would later help pave the way for both Alaska and the entire industry. Tis' the season!

Our friends at Wings of Hope and GSLFIA will be hosting their annual trivia night on Saturday, November 14- Virtually! Get the snacks and webcams out for a night of safe fun for a good cause! We remember some of those questions from last year, but the cinema takes it up a notch.

LOOKING BACK: Elmer, an original TWA employee starting in 1934, poses for a photo at KSTL as TWA Flight 2 left the terminal. Among regular visitors in Elmer's office were Charles Lindbergh, Cary Grant, and Howard Hughes. Elmer turned 105 last month and still remembers this day!
