Wow, check out these transformation photos Miller Engineering is grateful to be a part of what brought this together.
The Annual Miller Engineering Summer Fitness Challenge just came to a close after 12 weeks of hard work. Our employees keep pushing their limits as more exercises are added and the difficulty level increases. This year we had 4 complete the challenge (which is made to be nearly impossible) and a total of 11 participants. The challenge consists of 5 mandatory exercises, 1 cardio, and 4 optional. For example, one of the mandatory exercises is 1,200 burpees in 12 weeks. The total excercise reps were 236,269! Employee incentives for completing different levels of the challenge include cold, hard cash and additional paid days off. Let’s give all participants a virtual high-five
Every day is a little more exciting as we watch our new office come to life in our backyard. Last week, a new sign went up on the building facing Ff Highway. This week, windows and doors. Next weekwho knows!
Miller Engineering would like to give a shout-out to our 2020 Bridging the Gap Scholarship summer interns, Gavin Briggs (right) and Nicholas Rose (left). Despite the unprecedented times we find ourselves living and working in, Gavin and Nick have jumped in headfirst. Both have taken on multiple projects this summer, learning drafting, design, and project management. They have spent time on-site and in the office, working in all 3 of our departments. We would like to wish them both the best of luck heading back to school for the fall semester in the coming weeks. Gavin will be entering his senior year at the University of Arkansas and Nick will be entering his freshman year at the University of Missouri.

What a fun morning of volunteering, helping to keep our local waterways and trails clean.
One more step has been accomplished on the new Miller Engineering office building. The Mass Timber roof was installed last Friday. A big shout out to the whole team for making it happen! The panels were designed, constructed, and installed by Miller Engineering. This will be the first Mass Timber assembly for Southwest Missouri. The practice is common in Canada and is growing in popularity in the United States.
Employee Spotlight - Lana Stephens Lana has been with Miller Engineering for almost 5 years and has been in the industry for 10. Her role is as an Engineering Technician. What are your hobbies or what do you do when not at the office? ... I have recently started making epoxy jewelry as a way to not go quarantine crazy. I enjoy keeping up with my shows, being outside when the weather is just right and late night ice cream runs. I also just got a puppy, Colt, who keeps me quite busy. Give a fun fact about you. Fun: I am a speed reader. Not as fun: I have been a Type 1 Diabetic since 1996. Where would your dream vacation be? If funds were endless I would backpack thru Europe for the summer.
Have questions about Building Enclosure or what services we provide? Give us a call and ask for Paul or Cory! https://sbj.net//building-enclosure-is-key-to-building-per
