A New Qualitative Collection Development Tool... Z39.50 has been used by libraries for duplicate checking since the 1970’s. This has been, in part, supplemented by a variety of vendor duplicate checking routines. Regardless, current duplicate checking has been limited to checking a library’s print collection. Until now. At the request of an ARL member, Midwest Library Service is now introducing DupliCheck Wizard. This multi-format duplicate checking program allows customers t...o check for duplicates across their entire collection. Print, e-book, and audio-book titles are all checked for duplicates. DupliCheck Wizard can identify duplicates prior to order submission. This is particularly useful when applied to our expanding Best-on-Request award-winners program.
