How often do you change out the springs in your carry pistol? . Glocks may be one of the most reliable guns on the market, but they can malfunction. . That's right. They are sometimes not "perfect", but that can be prevented.... . When I was shooting a Glock 17 in matches, I had about 10,000 flawless rounds through it at one point. We were at a state match in Arkansas and the very first stage was a nightmare. I had ejection issues, and it wasn't just one. This went on all day long. . When we got back home, I knew exactly what needed to happen. A new recoil spring. This instantly made the gun run flawlessly again, and I haven't had issues since. . Moral of the story? .223 is such a versatile round. . From range time, to home defense, to hunting. . The round is very inexpensive for how well it performs. It is easily the number one cartridge used, besides the 9mm.
