Reflection is key. Tomorrow marks the 2nd anniversary of MDBI opening its doors. I still pinch myself sometimes that this dream became a reality. There have been MANY ups and downs, so many I could write a book, however all challenge brings growth, and growth we have done. We have seen 9018 appointments to date. We went from 2400 sq ft to 5000 square feet in the first 6 months. We went from 1 set of major equipment to 2. We opened with 3 employees and we now have 14 employe...es and still need more. The TEAM at MDBI is AMAZING and each person employed here truly cares about each other and our patients. At the core we are a TEAM. Our main goal has always been for our patients to feel comforted, safe, and know that we will do everything we can to help you feel better. I am truly blessed to be doing this work and as incredibly hard as the past 2 years have been, I would do it all again in a heartbeat.

Welcome Dr. Nicole Garrett. Nicole completed her externship at MDBI and was welcomed to full time staff last year. We are so lucky to have her!

Jaime L. Carmody, MS, F-AAA Audiologist and Founder of Midwest Dizziness and Balance Institute, LLC Jaime received her Bachelor of Science degree from Saint Louis University and her Master of Audiology degree from Washington University School of Medicine. She was immediately drawn to dizziness and balance disorders and focused her entire master’s studies and thesis to vestibular dysfunction. Upon graduation, she partnered with Sound Health Services to start the Dizziness and ...Balance Center, which she operated and ran for 13 years. During this time, she saw more than 800 dizzy patients per year and treated over 300 patients per year with BPPV treatments. She dedicates her time to research and staying up-to-date with vestibular dysfunction, which is why she decided to open Midwest Dizziness and Balance Institute in 2018. Jaime enjoys spending time with her family, working out, reading, and finding new eclectic places to eat and drink around St. Louis. See more

Very informative - WASH THOROUGHLY!

Midwest Dizziness and Balance Institute helped me tremendously, mainly Jaime Carmody! I woke up one morning in March without any hearing in my left ear and extr...eme dizziness and nausea. Luckily for me, Jaime is my sister and I called her right away. She knew exactly what I was going through and was able to help me. She diagnosed me with Labrynthitis and helped me get on steroids right away. The next couple weeks after that first initial experience were absolutely debilitating. I never truly understood what Jaime did in her profession with her newly opened business. I got to experience it first hand. Waking up and feeling extremely helpless, nauseous, and dizzy was awful. I couldn’t even lay on my left side to sleep without the entire room spinning and feeling like I was on a merry go round. I couldn’t walk or hold my son without being off balance. I couldn’t turn my head left to right without feeling as if I was dizzy or nauseous. I was very fortunate to have my sister and her wonderful staff assist me and many other patients that have had to deal with dizziness and balance issues. Jaime worked with me to do a full evaluation, she listened to me, gave me videos to do at home, scheduled me for in-office visits, etc. I’m so thankful we caught it quickly because I was able to recover approximately 6 weeks after I woke up with this virus. I highly recommend Jaime and her wonderful staff, they know exactly what to do and how to assist you! Thank you for getting me back to feeling normal!!!
