Mrs. Ryser is our 6th teacher, and she is still in need of students to complete this project this summer!

No weights tomorrow morning! They will start up on Wednesday with conditioning from 8:30-9:30 and weights 9:30-11:00. Don’t forget your water bottles.

People! I.get.to.go.back.to SCHOOL! Between virtual learning, Thanksgiving, and mom getting covid it’s been over a month! That’s waayyyy to long without my people. I have my bells on and slobbery ready.

December 15 varsity basketball at Sheldon 5:30 start. See the following on their covid policy. We currently do not have any limitations of spectators. We do ask that the visiting school sit on the north half of the gym and utilize both sides. We have a "mask when you move" policy. Please wear a mask to enter and anytime you are up and moving. No post game gatherings on the court.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE: Meals and student items needed for schooling while at home will be distributed/picked up in daily routes beginning tomorrow. Bus routes will begin at approximately 10:45 am and continue until completed each day, Tuesday through Friday. Routes will probably be completed each day around 12:30. We will also offer meals for pick up at school for students 18 and under who live in the district but do not attend and others who are not on a bus route at approximately 10:30-11:00, but you will need to let us know beforehand that you are picking them up and how many. We ask that any school items to be returned to school each day be left on your porch/front door area and staff will pick them up. Please do not meet staff, as we need to maintain contactless delivery/pickup.

Information on Midway game tomorrow. 5:30 start No JV Masks have to be worn at all times except at their seats. ... Home fans in the Main gym will sit on the South Mezzanine. Away fans in the Main gym will sit on the North Mezzanine. Bleachers on the floor to the South are for the Handicapped and elderly only. Tickets will be handed out to athletes at practice tonight. Children 4 and under will not need a ticket. At this time we are not sure if it will be live streamed.

ANNOUNCEMENT Miami R-1 will be transitioning to online education Tuesday, Nov. 10th. This change and setting is in response to an increase in the number of COVID 19 cases within the school and surrounding communities. Please plan on online education to continue for the near future. An updated timeframe will be available in the days to come. Please know your child will be required to complete assignments for credit as the state requires participation and completion of coursewo...rk to obtain credit. Additionally, teachers and staff will be available to help bridge any potential gaps in facilitating this process starting tomorrow. Bear with us as faculty and staff transition to online learning tomorrow. Please know arrangements will be made for pickup and/or distribution of materials that are located at the school. Picture retake day will be Friday, December 18th. You will have to return your pictures you have purchased from earlier in the year if you are having them retaken. Also, if you were absent for the first pictures, you will need to have your picture taken for the yearbook on that day. Please ask the office for a new form for retake day!

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: The Miami R-I School District has been notified of a positive COVID-19 case within the District. This will impact both the elementary and high school. We are working closely with the Bates County Health Department to follow the protocols in place as we navigate this issue. Please know that the District is unable to release many details due to confidentiality procedures; however, staff and parents of any students who have had prolonged and/or direct ex...posure have been notified by the school. They will also be contacted by the Health Department with further instructions in regards to quarantine. We encourage students, staff, and patrons to continue to social distance where possible, frequently sanitize hands, and monitor health symptoms to help limit the spread of COVID-19.
