Happy Mother’s Day
Be on the lookout for severe storms possible in morning and then again later in the day/ evening. Stay safe out there, friends.
Keep an eye on weather conditions this evening. While the chance for tornadoes is low, wind gusts could still get rather strong and hail could amount to something sizable. Stay safe out there.
Quite the traffic jam in the fertilizer line today. Everyone had the same idea today; getting the fertilizer on before the rain
So, whoever is praying for rain, you can stop now. Save that for June and July when it normally gets dry.
It may be a ways off yet before it's time to pick watermelons, but keep this in mind when the time comes and you go to your garden or down to Eckert's to pick some =)
Yesterday vs. Today. 70 degrees vs 30 degrees. It wasn’t snowing when we started spreading today We got fertilizer spread both days thankfully
"My tractor is too old" is a poor excuse not to have AutoSteer on it. SteadySteer from Ag Leader is an extremely responsive, and accurate, assisted-steer system that borders on being just as responsive and accurate as a hydraulic/ ISOBUS/ CAN steer system. Even though your tractor isn't new (or even if it is), you too can have straight or perfectly contoured rows in your field.
This is an interesting idea to deal with leaves. I don’t know of any local farmers with a big square baler but I wonder if it would work the same with small squares or round bales?
Do you think a modern 4 wheel drive tractor would have enough "umph" to pull this beast? I believe there are 62 plows, and was told they are 16 inches wide, thus making it just over 82 ft.
Our lime crew is hard at work today
