Greens still abound!!! We have lots of beautiful greens this week. We will be open for business this afternoon, however due to the extreme cold mornings, there won’t be much asparagus this week. Should bounce back next week, with warmer temps and some additional rain. Fingers crossed.

New this week. Broccoli Raab. Tender and delicious sautéed.

Yes! We will be open tomorrow with lots of green goodness. All manner of lettuce, spinach, green onions and asparagus,too! Come on by and enjoy some fresh clean greens!

What happens when the market is over? We put up our feet? Well for a few minutes, but coolers are cleaned and sanitized and ready for next week. Thanks for an awesome market to all who came out and make this job fun.

Holy Shishitos!!!

Once in a Blue moon, so Saturday, besides being Halloween, and the full Hunter moon,it is also a blue moon. So how about some blue cornbread to go with your celebration, however small it may be. Great with chili, ham n beans, or whatever comfort food you desire. This cornmeal has been grown by us, using no chemicals, and was harvested and ground by my Amish friend, Elizabeth Eicher. It has been twice baked to insure there are no weevils, and processed by us to preserve its freshness. We have a recipe for you to try. And we will have in pint jars on Saturday at our @Lakestlouisfarmersmarket. Check it out this weekend, also available for our home this week, including today!

Picking zucchini in the ice and snow, weird! Never done that before. I expect that’s it, but we got a nice bucket full today. Available Thursday one last time. Oh and btw, if. Anyone is wanting applebutter, I have a few cases available

Sometimes we need to take a step back, and unwind so we can finish strong. We have decided to miss the market this weekend. However we do plan to return next week, Oct 31st, with plenty of products for our fall table.

Wow what a day!!! We will have all this and more available today from 1-4:30 today. Feel free to come on by this after noon for the last of the summer harvest. We have fresh applebutter and tomatoe- chili jam, too!
