Thanks to volunteer physicians, Wy Jo Care and Metro Care provide almost $7m in donated care to "gap" patients (do not qualify for Medicaid) every year. The administrative costs are exceptionally low, but they do exist, as coordinating patients needs with available donations takes real resources. These programs are merging into the KCMS Foundation on January 1, 2018. These programs get people back to work. The programs also provide an amazing return on investment: $333k is turned into almost $7m in donated care.
