Yet another all new piston from Metric Mechanic. This is our piston for Forced Induction applications, whether boost is from a turbocharger, supercharger, or nitrous, this piston is up for the task! It is designed with Metric Mechanic’s Surface Turbulence technology across the dome to help atomize fuel and reduce detonation. This piston also has support spars on the underside of the crown to greatly increase strength and reduce weight. Another feature is the piston skirt, it ...is asymmetrical in skirt thickness, this allows an even load to be distributed between the intake and exhaust sides of the piston. The whole piston is type 3 hard anodized (except the skirt face) to prolong piston life when experiencing detonation. The skirt face is coated with a molly dry film coating to reduce heat from friction and hold oil on the skirt. Piston specs: 85mm bore 22mm pin 280 grams! Metric Mechanic’s new 3200 sport M20 Piston is now available! This 244g lightweight piston is designed to be paired with an S52b32/M54b30 crankshaft (89.6mm), either a stock 135mm connecting rod or a forged rod of your choice, and this piston also clears the stock head gasket while pushing 9.5:1 compression and having an 87mm bore size. We’ve also included Non Interference Valve Pockets! So no more bent valves! We also offer a crankshaft adaptor kit for installing an...
