With Ardmore suffering from some of the highest rates of COVID-19 in the state, Mercy Hospital Ardmore set a new record this week with 56 COVID-19 patients. The spike in cases is impacting the care we provide non-COVID patients, forcing us to postpone 40% of surgeries and 50% of endoscopies starting Monday. Surgeries and procedures will be prioritized by most urgent. We will notify patients whose procedure needs to be postponed. Daryle Voss, hospital president, strongly encourages the community to help alleviate this situation by getting vaccinated as soon as possible, wearing masks and practicing social distancing.
