Mercer County Fire Protection District 02.11.2020

"There were 75 firehouses in which at least one member was killed. The FDNY also lost its department chief, first deputy commissioner, one of its marshals, one of its chaplins, as well as other administrative or specialty personnel. On 9-11, 121 engine companies, 62 ladder companies and 27 fire officers were deployed to the world trade center. All off-duty firefighters were recalled the first time the FDNY had issued a total recall in over 30 years. In addition to the regul...ar fire apparatus, and personnel assigned to the incident, the FDNY also deployed its only Haz-Mat unit, its mobile command center, its field communications unit, all five rescue units, both of its high-rise units, six of its seven squad units, and one of its two tactical support units."- Up-110 May they all rest in peace. And may we all Never Forget

7-19: MCFPD was dispatched out to a reported fire east of Princeton on 136. It was later determined the fire was at the Cedar Ridge Apartments. The buildings were heavily involved upon initial dispatch. Mutual aid was immediately called from Mercer FPD and Spickard Fire and Rescue. We hope you have a safe Indepenence Day! Please remember to wash your hands often. Be cautious when using hand sanitizer around fireworks or an open flame. If it is still wet on your hands it can still ignite.
