Mrs. Meesey's Class

Friday we celebrated the end of our Opinion writing unit! We shared our reviews and baked a cake! I mixed up the batter and gave each kiddo a cup full. I asked them to choose something they were proud of in their piece! We matched our proud aspects to colors and created a fabulous, colorful cake full of flavor and pride! We had a blast and the cake was delicious!

Valentines Day celebration!

Friday was the big day! We celebrated our writing by wearing pjs and sitting next to the fire! The students worked so hard on their non fiction books. I couldn't be more proud!

Last Tuesday we celebrated our How To writing!!!! We shared with other first graders in the hallway and in other classrooms. The students were filled with pride and excited to share! We also worked in groups to create a turkey hideout out of classroom supplies! This was a great way for students to be creative and practice working with others to solve a problem!
