Under direct supervision, produces doors from existing orders in an accurate and timely manner. All doors must be produced with accuracy and top-quality workmanship, meeting set deadlines. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** 1. Reviews daily schedule to prep and build doors accordingly. This includes stacking doors, jambs, and heads. Organizes all utensils needed for the day. 2. Runs door through the door machine with the hinge, handle requirements and specifications of the order. 3. Assembles door and checks for accuracy, checking that gaps are no more than 1/8". 4. Places sticker on door that includes customer information and stacks door for drivers to load and deliver. 5. Checks stock and notifies Head Door Person when materials need to be reordered. 6. Keeps shop clean and organized. 7. Maintains and services door machine. 8. Any other duties as assigned. 9. May be required to: - Help yard personnel load doors. - Write orders for materials and verify received shipments of product. - Perform minor door maintenance offsite. **EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS** Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent preferred. Preferred education woodshop classes Minimum 6 months experience building doors and working with millwork Saw operating certificate issued upon successful completion of training administered by supervisor.
