Several times I have had people share a book quilt with me for inspiration. I’ve never really had a reason or the extra time to make one yet. But I finally got around to it. This is a lap quilt that went out today. I really like the quilting on this one. **And I forgot to get better pictures before I sent it out ***
This pastel rag quilt will be delivered tomorrow.
This car themed baby square within a square quilt was delivered today.
I’ve taken a few weeks off from serious sewing because I was a little burnt out from the snow days. Sometimes after working on a big project or several tshirt quilts, I need to be a little creative, so I turn to baby quilts. When I finished up the two sister quilts, I was drawn to the purple and green combination. So I decided to do a more traditional baby quilt with those colors. Something a little different for me. So this baby quilt is available. It measures 42x53 and it backed in purple.
I finally was able to deliver this Christmas present yesterday.
I have a small story that goes with the latest quilt I have finished, but I can’t share it quite yet. But I can share the quilt. A full explanation will follow at a later time. This is a bright and bold hexi quilt with a touch of math in it. Can you identify it?
I haven’t shared anything in awhile but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been working. I had family member reach out this fall and ask if I could make her two quilts for her girls’ rooms. She couldn’t find exactly what she was wanting. She wanted something traditional with one being pink/green and the other purple/green. She sent me a few ideas some of which were very detailed (double wedding ring quilt) but we finally decided on the this pattern. Which isn’t really difficult, b...ut time consuming. She also wanted matching pillow shams. I finished one up before Christmas, but didn’t get the second done until last week. I’m quite pleased with the final product (honestly one of the more traditional country quilts that I have done). I was so drawn to one purple color pattern that it may show up soon in a baby quilt

This memory quilt was delivered this morning to St. Louis. I was contacted through this Facebook page. We had no mutual friends in common. I’m pretty sure she just found me on here. She mailed me some of her dad’s shirts to be used for a quilt for her sister. I’m hoping her sister will find some comfort in it. She wanted a clean crisp look, so I used a white to place against the shirts and a soft pale yellow for the back. It’s a patchwork set on the diagonal.
I sent out the first of a few grandma quilts today. This customer had several of her grandma’s pieced quilts and blocks. These cross stitched flower blocks were already pieced. I just had to add the batting and back and then quilt and bind it.
Who needs a little color? This is a bright half square triangle baby quilt. It is backed in a purple small print fabric and measures 39x42. *** It is available
***SOLD*** I had enough leftover fabric from a custom quilt order to make another baby quilt. This is green/gray/white subtle farm theme patchwork baby quilt with a large polka dot backing. I used straight line grid quilting. It measures 36x46 and it is available.
If you are looking for some dog - or even cat - bow ties and bandanas. I have some in my friend Teresa’s store in Kimmswick Off the Beatin path. You should stop in and check her place out!
Going to share a couple more things that went out in the last few weeks. Sometimes keeping it simple is best. I was contacted to make a couple matching twin quilts. She had the fabric but just needed it quilted - a nice farm print on top and striped flannel sheets on the back. Keeping with the simple theme, I used straight line quilting. And then another tshirt quilt. This year the graduation gifts are a little spread out.
