Today, we honor the life and legacy of George Floyd, while also recognizing the need for immediate radical change. Create space today to reflect on the power of the people. Our united front over the past year did make an impact, but we have a long way to go. ... When you are ready, engage in dismantling the INjustice system that took Floyd's life and the lives of many others. In the words of 7-year-old Gianna Floyd, "Daddy changed the world." --and it is up to us to continue fighting for a better tomorrow.
Legal Services of Eastern Missouri, Stinson LLP, and Husch Blackwell filed a lawsuit in Cole County, Missouri challenging the State Missouri's decision to refuse to implement Medicaid Expansion. By approving Amendment 2 to the Missouri Constitution (Medicaid Expansion) at the August 2020 election, Missouri voters sent a clear message that more than 275,000 Missourians should be given access to essential health care benefits under Medicaid. MO voters will be heard. It's time... to #FundMOmedicaid Learn more about Medicaid Expansion in our recent podcast. http://ow.ly/V6hN50EUeM4

Campaign/Yard Sign Disposal Campaign signs are a recycling challenge because they’re made from multiple materials, such as paper, plastic and metal. Disposing of them requires taking them apart and disposing of each portion based on its material. Here’s what you can do: Break down the sign by detaching the metal wire stand from the sign itself. The metal wire is made of steel. Steel wire isn’t recycled curbside, but it can be recycled with other scrap metal.... If the sign is made of paper or cardboard, the paper or cardboard can be recycled curbside, as long as it isn’t laminated . If the sign is sturdy, corrugated plastic, it CANNOT be recycled curbside. Drop off your corrugated plastic yard signs to be recycled at one of the drop-off locations. If the sign is a very thin, flexible plastic (like a plastic bag), that means it’s made from film plastic. This CANNOT be recycled curbside, but it can be recycled with plastic bags. Before tossing your campaign sign, consider saving it for reuse or return to the campaign where it originated. A local school or nonprofit organization may be able to use the sign, too. If you don’t want to save the entire sign, you may be able to reuse the wire stand for future signs! See more

Why #NoOn3? It overturns the 62% of Missouri voters who passed Clean Missouri in 2018, puts redistricting in the hands of politicians, sets the stage for the most extreme gerrymandering in the country, and leaves 1.5 million Missourians unrepresented. https://redcircle.com//b84994ad-c484-48db-9b18-b944b0b09fee
