May 9 Today Pastor James viewed Hosea 1 with us, and focused on the plans God revealed in this chapter. We learned last week that God had led Hosea to marry a woman who would be unfaithful to him. God provided Hosea with names for his children which would be indicative of God's plans for Israel He would give the house of Israel the consequences they deserved, and God has always kept His prophecies throughout the Bible. He would end the House of Israel. Yet God also said that the children of Israel would be numbered like the sand, so many they couldn't be counted. Again, God has kept His promise -- Jewish people live all around the world today. Today's message has reminded us that God's word is real, and He keeps His promises. When God comes back, the battle will be won, and wrongs shall be turned right! Remember that.

January 24 In Ephesians 4:1-6, Paul begged the Ephesians to walk in a way that is worthy of being called by God. We need to be honest about who and what we are, and live our lives accordingly. God provides high expectations, and it is our duty to strive to achieve those goals. We should never be the reason someone turns away from God. We should instead seek to bring others to God. We cannot do this alone -- we must walk closely with God. In verse 2, we are told to be lowl...y and gentle. Some translations use the word "meek" which does not mean weak. Meekness is actually having the ability to control our strength. We are also told to be forbearing with others. This mean looking for the good and not the faults in people. We are to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace which takes hard work. We are called by God to be witnesses and examples for him. There is one God over all. See more
