To our fearless Artistic Director : Happy Birthday to you
Fascinating story ,theater lovers. "Frankenstein" began life in 1979 at The Loretto-Hilton Theatre in St. Louis, where Victor Gialanella worked as Production Manager. It was his first play, written on spec to fill fifth slot in the season. Keith Jochim (I remember him well from all the roles he played in Repertory) starred as the creature in St. Louis, and on Broadway.
As a 14 year old schoolgirl I made a collage of your pictures that filled my closet doors...I named my scottie Sean after you , watched the Bond movies over and over and had a deep, deep crush on you my entire life. You are an icon to me. May your memory be a blessing dear Sean Connery.
So I just re-watched the Virtual concert again (First time was LIVE at 6:00 CST) and I just need to exclaim (cause I'm verklempt) This woman is a star. A MAGNETIC STAR. I knew when I produced "End of The Rainbow" there was no one I would settle for but Angela Ingersoll as Judy Garland. We had local auditions and I received tapes from all over the country . NO,NO,NO. If we couldn't produce it with her I would not do the show .Thank God the stars aligned and it happened! She really should have been cast on Broadway and in the movie. It's a shanda. (Yiddish for a shame) Angela you are a gift.
