This is an eight-week journey as we gather together in fellowship and love. The class will use "Beyond the Broken Heart, A Journey through Grief" by Julie Yarbrough, which will be provided to all group members. We will meet in the ARK, the building on the corner next to the United Methodist Church. It is a place where we may feel safe and everything is confidential. We will be going through a video that coordinates with our book and having open discussions. We will have guest speakers from time to time, sharing their stories. Announcement regarding weather from Rev Kim: It is cold outside and there is snow on the ground. I've had some questions about how we will handle this morning's worship services. I will be leading worship this morning. Lee and Nicholas will be there to livestream the service. Ice melt was thrown around the entrance to the church last night.... I do not expect everyone to show up in-person when it is this cold or to drive in weather that makes us uncomfortable. I realize walking next door is not the same as driving across town. I leave the decision to attend worship in person on a day like today up to your wisdom, but I do encourage you to attend, online or in person, for this first Sunday of the year, as we participate in the Wesleyan Covenant Renewal tradition. We will have the doors open and the livestream going this morning
