The Officers had the pleasure of spending time shopping for shoes, coats, clothing and especially TOYS for the children whi...le parents spent time purchasing groceries for the family holiday meal. A very special thank you to Wal-Mart, Cargill Meat Solutions for their continued support and fund raisers and Little Caesars Pizza, Mr. Stefan and Mr. Hardy, for cooking up fresh pizzas and bread sticks, for our shoppers to take home and enjoy. On Veterans Day, the Marshall Police Department would like to say to our veterans that we honor every man and woman who has ever worn the uniform of our nation, Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, or Coast Guardthose who have selflessly secured America’s promise throughout our history. Today, we salute the service of all veterans. And, we keep in our thoughts and prayers the fallen, the missing, and those who right now are serving in harm’s way. We also remember that honoring ...those who have served isn’t just about what we say or do here today. It’s about how we honor our veterans every day of the year. It’s remaining committed to supporting them and their families in every way we possibly can. It’s about serving them as well as they have served and continue to serve our nation. We come together on Veterans Day to express our profound gratitude for the sacrifices and contributions you and your family made on the battlefield, at home, and at outposts around the world. But America’s gratitude to our veterans is something always grounded in something greater than what you did on duty. It's also an appreciation of the example that you continue to set after your service has ended -- your example as citizens. We owe you our respect. And we owe you our freedom. May God bless all who served and still do. And may God bless the United States of America.
