Marine Corps Officer Selection Station St. Louis 30.06.2021

CANDIDATE PANAGOS - - -Candidate Panagos, will be leaving for OCS -OCC class 237. -... -ABOUT ME - -Why Marines? Being the son of two military parents, the military has always been an option I considered. I always wish to push myself outside of my comfort zone, and I believe the Marines provide a great balance between challenge and fulfilling the desire to serve. - -Biggest Challenge? The biggest challenges I look forward to tackling are LRC and SULE events. Although I have been able to demonstrate leadership in team settings through sport, I am eager to put these qualities to the test in rigorous, time-intensive drills. My time at the St. Louis OSO office has helped increased my familiarity with the curriculum at OCS, allowing me to better prepare for these events. - -Desired MOS? MOS 75 - Pilot - - -#Marines #slu #usmc #umsl #stlcc #washu #candidate #ocs #devildog #train #workout #stlouis #military #officer #hardwork #consistency #MarineCorps #Core #MarineHistory #History #maps #learning #navigation #soccer #athlete See more

Compass Competency Today candidates learned how to use a compass, find an azimuth, both on a compass and on a map, identify key terrain features and plot points on a map. With many of our candidates shipping out to OCS soon, they got their first look at a skill that will help them on brown field and long after. Being able to use a compass and do land navigation is always essential for a Marine Officer. We also had to have a little fun and work some PT in the day so we d...ecided to play some Jeopardy. However, instead of winning money, points were worth workouts! Candidates also got another look at an LRC to experience overcoming challenging obstacles and having to decide, communicate, and act. Do you think you’re capable overcoming obstacles and finding a path towards self improvement? #marines #leadership #jeopardy #overcome #bigtires #nogps #slu #washu #lindenwood #umsl #siue #maryville #mckendree

Hometown - St. Louis, MO University - Southern Methodist University for bachelors and Masters in accounting Why the Marines - Once I graduated college, I was looking for something more than what corporate America could offer me.
