PLATTE COUNTY MASK ORDER Beginning on Thursday, July 16, 2020, the Platte County Health Department is mandating the wearing of masks in public places. As a business, we must ask, if you are coming in to the clinic for any reason, please wear a mask. If you do not have a mask, we will provide one for you. PET SHUTTLE SERVICE AVAILABLE 816-858-2161 At Maple Hill Animal Hospital, we want you to know that we are here for you and your pets. We are determined to provide you with the services you need during these difficult times. The clinic is open for business, and we are scheduling appointments as usual. For scheduled appointments, you are welcome to bring your pets in to the clinic. However, we know that not everyone can or should be getting out and about right now. We want you ...to be as safe as possible. To that end, we are offering a shuttle service that will pick up your pets from your home, bring them to the clinic for scheduled appointments, then return them to you afterwards. Our shuttle driver has years of experience in caring for animals, and your pets will be transported safely in their own individual, comfortable cages within the vehicle. Unfortunately, our shuttle driver will not be able to come inside your home to help you prepare your pets for transport. Therefore, we ask that you have your pets ready when she arrives. Dogs should be on leashes and brought outside to the vehicle. Cats will need to be placed inside of cat carriers, ready for pick up, before the driver arrives.Cardboard boxes are NOT acceptable. If you need to borrow a cat carrier, the driver can bring one and will wait in the vehicle while you load your cat into it. For local clients within a radius of about 10 miles from the clinic (Platte City, Weston, Leavenworth, Dearborn, etc.) the fee for this round-trip shuttle service is $10.00 and will simply be included in the total bill for the appointment. For trips outside of a 10-mile radius from the clinic, the fee will be based on mileage. If you have an existing appointment for your pet, or if you need to make a new appointment, and want to schedule a shuttle trip, please call our receptionist, Beverly, at 816-858-2161.
