Severe winter weather in parts of the country is forcing blood drive cancellations, causing lifesaving blood donations to go uncollected. Please spread the word and come out to donate blood at Malden Commmunity Center tomorrow from 1pm-5pm and help save lives. All blood donations will be tested for COVID-19 antibodies. All blood donors will receive a $5 amazon.com gift card via email. Plus, if you donate for a student of Malden Elementary School, that student will receive a special Red Cross gift.

The snow and sleet will be winding down later this afternoon and evening. However, the threats from this winter storm will continue. Travel conditions will rem...ain hazardous at least through tonight and Tuesday morning. If you HAVE to travel, please be extremely careful! Temperatures and wind chill values will drop to very cold levels tonight. Hypothermia will be a concern for people or pets exposed to the cold for an extended period. Keep up with the latest weather updates on this storm, and the next system approaching in the Wednesday-Thursday time frame.
