Check out some of Build Trybe’s work tomorrow at Cafe Cà Phê! Great goods for a solid cause.
Reach out to Theo for custom builds (furniture, houseware, exterior goods) all made by instructors and youth learning trades that get paid for their time and training. They are also looking for a retail partner or collaborators to sell their goods. Build Trybe is an excellent program and operate out of Maker Village! https://cornerstonesofcare.org//Education-and-/Build-Trybe [email protected]
Thankful for our members, @buildtrybe instructors, new @makervillagewomxn instructors and all the others who give us something to look forward to in 2021. Keep building community and fighting the good fight.

One of our lovely members, Tara, has hit by another car on the first snow of the year which totaled her car and really shook her up. If you know Tara, you know how hard she works and how much of a giver she is. Let’s take this time to give back.... Lost & Found Design Cherry Pit Collective
Audrey Van de Castle is a boss!
We are stoked to announce William Toney as our first BIPOC Art Studio Resident. This is a new program, in collaboration with Chico Sierra, to support BIPOC artists at Maker Village. William Toney is from Raytown, Missouri. Toney earned a B.F.A. in photography from the University of Missouri - Columbia in 2012. He currently lives and makes mixed media work in Kansas City, MO. Toney was awarded a Drugstore KC ‘Gift of Faith Award’ in 2017 and was a resident until 2019. He is a ...recipient of the 2019 Charlotte Street Studio Residency. Check out William's work at UMKC Department of Art and Art History new exhibition, Real Black, opening Oct. 1. Real Black: a spectrum of the Black present illustrates both the experiences of living Black artists and visions of the future. This show delineates current history and a new era of civil unrest. As a display of the living, Real Black presents a glimpse of the beauty of daily life while depicting an auspicious equitable future.
