Just a reminder, entry deadline for this year's Turkey Showdown is this Friday. For rules look at previous post. Please let me know if you are getting a team together.

We have a month left to get signed up for our turkey showdown contest!!! Remember teams of four, NWTF scoring with a maximum of 8 birds... Must be able to score the bird at our bow shop. $100 to enter. We need to have atleast 4 teams.

Here are a few pics and the results of our first ever Spring Turkey Hunting Contest. Ist place goes to Team Washam, they tagged all 8 birds with the biggest having 4 beards.CONGRATS!!! 2nd place goes to Team Lucas who was leading til the second to the last day with several birds over a score of 70 or better. And they too tagged out. 3rd place goes to Team Black who tagged just 7 birds but was in the game up until one of their members went down with a ankle injury. 4th and last place went to Team Gwinner who gave it their all but was unable to tag out. Tagging 7 birds just wasn't enough. We had a blast and can't wait til next year, SO GET YOUR TEAMS READY TO GO!!! Oh yea let the smack talking begin lol...

If you are interested in getting in on our first TURKEY SHOWDOWN, please call us at 660 263-5188 or you can call me at 660 833-3021. We would like to have all teams registered by April 8th. Here is the criteria for the Showdown, teams are made up of 4 members, cost is $100. This is for the whole spring turkey season so each member can score up to 2 birds and total of 8 birds per team and it will be scored by the NWTF scoring system. There will be 2 scoring times, 10am and 2p. at Lucas Archery. Must show proof of conservation tag and confirmation #. Winners will be announced the last day of season at 2pm and it's winner take all.

Time to start getting your teams ready for the 1st ever Lucas Archery Turkey Showdown. You can register your team at Lucas Archery or by calling me at 660 833-3021. Cost is $100 per team. Remember teams consist of 4 hunters and can score up to 8 birds . You must be able to score your birds at Lucas Archery and there will be 2 scoring times each day. They are at 10am and 2pm. We will score each bird by the NWTF scoring system.you must show a conservation tag with a confirmation #, either paper tag or phone tag. We will announce the winner on the last day of spring turkey season.
