If you know a 20-21 6th Grade Band or Strings student, please make sure they are aware of the online curriculum being developed for them. It’s called Camp Coda. They have until 8/18 to get registered. https://sites.google.com/lsr7.net/campcoda/home

Dear Bronco Marching Band Family, What a time we are living right now! I don’t have the words. This past week, we have continued some tremendous training with our leadership team. This group of young women and men are excited to get to the field and getting to work on music and marching. And they are going to be, possibly, the best leadership team we have had at LSN in the past 10 years.... Also, this past week, you have received communication from the LSR7 regarding the opening of school. The school board has yet to pass the proposal, but based on the recommendations of the Jackson County Health Department, it looks like school may not begin until after Labor Day, with the first day being proposed as September 8. That recommendation prompted me to contact Mike McGurk, our Activites Director. I asked him if he foresaw us being able to perform at the first football game on August 28. He indicated that he didn’t think we’d be able to perform. Given that information, the band staff and I felt that it was best to postpone the start of Bronco Band Camp to start Monday, August 24. I will revise the schedule and release it once I nail down some times to avoid conflicting with the football team. Drumline and Color Guard Camp will continue next week as scheduled. We sincerely appreciate your understanding as we deal with the day-by-day changes that are presented to us. We didn’t want to bring you in for two consecutive weeks of rehearsal not knowing if we’d even be able to perform. So...in the meantime, we keep waiting for our time to come to return to making music. It can’t get here soon enough. Sincerely, Scott Kuhlman Director of Bands
