Below is a repost from a post I wrote weeks ago. I reread it (last night) after a conversation with my (very wise) 26 year old, who after 6 years of drug use is now 18 months clean, (his #1 addiction was to heroine). By the Grace of God, he now has his own place, a car, a motorcycle, a bank account and successful job at a very nice dealership. He said to me, "I'd rather know my Mom gave her all to her dream and failed instead of knowing she had everything you wanted at you...r fingertips and was scared to try ". I asked how he got so smart. I reread my post as and I was reminded of why and how we can get stuck. I needed these words. We all have excuses, but you have to push through that pain. #itsworthit #noexusest This is what I wrote... There is purpose for pain, for heartache & for brokenness. So many people stay in their box, afraid of moving forward for fear. Fear of failure. Fear of rejection. Fear of what others might think. Those people are the ones who judge and condemn others for taking risks (for forward moving or forward thinking); because in that growth process, they will see what looks like failure. However, that is the system God created to help us learn and grow & God doesn't put us in boxes, we put our self there (by our own paradigm), we allow our families, our pasts , systems (including Religions) & people to define us. Its there we become stuck and dead, we begin suffocating inside the walls of our own thinking and refuse to look in, so we look out. Why? ... because it's so much easier to look at others (instead of ourselves). Their "failure" somehow helps to take the focus off our own issues and shortcomings. So some good advise is... get out of the box. Don't allow "these things" to define you. Allow God & his word to be your guide. Trust your heart.
