Karate is said to have been born in Okinawa 700 years ago and is adored by men and women of all ages as a martial art that fosters politeness, self-esteem, and ...respect. It is a particularly popular after school activity for children along with swimming, calligraphy, and piano. Karate is the most familiar martial art in Okinawa’s everyday life as lessons are offered in dojos and nursery schools from as young as around 5 years old, and it is incorporated in the school curriculum for classes and club activities. Although it may seem difficult for first-timers, one attractive quality is that even children and the elderly can enjoy it. When the situation improves and you can come to Okinawa, please try it. Lou Angel’s memorial service will be held on October 03, 2020 at 1:00 pm at the following: VFW Post #3404 1136 E. Atlantic St Springfield, MO 65803... Everyone is invited to attend.
