Congratulations to Doctor of Chiropractic student Omar Al-Ryati and Logan graduate Kevin Meyer, DC (‘20), who were among 10 individuals selected for the 2021-22 Veterans Affairs (VA) Chiropractic Integrated Clinical Practice Residency Program. Omar, who is scheduled to graduate from Logan this April, is currently completing a preceptorship at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Maryland and was matched with the Miami VA Healthcare System. Dr. Meyer completed a clerkship at VA St. Louis Health Care System last year and was matched with VA Puget Sound Health Care System. The residency is a full-time, one-year, hospital-based postgraduate training program for DCs seeking innovative training and experiences relevant to careers in hospitals, integrated medical systems, and/or academia.

Jacob Kornetzke, DC ('17), MS ('16) became a chiropractor after watching chiorpractic care transform his mother's health. We see a wide variety of patients every day, but our niche is in the sports rehabilitation area, said Dr. Kornetzke. This is great for me because on a daily basis I’m able to use a lot of my certifications and skills in an area that I’m really passionate about.
